The Company is seeking a VP, Software Engineer with a focus on Global Markets Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. This includes the design, development, and enhancement of electronic trading applications to meet the performance, resilience, and functionality needs of Asian equity markets, while ensuring compliance with business and regulatory requirements. The role also involves collaborating with regional and global stakeholders to gather and translate requirements, as well as owning the full software development lifecycle from analysis to deployment and support. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in Java development, with a strong background in building low-latency applications, and a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and concurrency. Excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and strong communication abilities are essential. While not mandatory, experience in the equity domain or financial services industry, particularly with the Equity Electronic Trading stack, and familiarity with trading systems, market data, and FIX Protocol, are considered desirable. The role requires the ability to manage multiple deliverables independently, provide production support for critical applications, and ensure that coding practices and quality comply with software development standards.
