The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Economy and Delivery to serve as the strategic lead in economic policy, devolution, and regional influence. This pivotal role involves working closely with the Chief Executive, Mayor, and Board to define the long-term direction of the region, develop a Local Growth Plan, and ensure that the region's voice is effectively represented with government, investors, universities, and national partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving evidence-based policy, leading the delivery function, and ensuring that the region's strategy is closely aligned with tangible outcomes and impact. The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly credible and intellectually curious leader, capable of combining economic insight with political acuity and exceptional relationship-building skills. Experience in a Combined Authority, central government, economic development, academia, a think tank, or a major public policy environment is valued, but what is most important is the ability to navigate complexity, influence at the highest levels, and articulate an ambitious vision for regional growth.
