The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire data pipeline, from raw event to feature, and for ensuring that data quality, freshness, and lineage are maintained to the highest standards. The role also involves leading a team of data and analytics engineers, setting the architectural direction, and being a hands-on leader, particularly in the area of AI. Applicants for the Head of Data Engineering and Analytics role at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' experience as a Data Engineer or Architect, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a strong background in data and system building, particularly in the context of AI. Experience in lakehouse and feature-store architecture, as well as in data quality, observability, and lineage frameworks, is essential. The role requires a leader who is fluent in English, with a proven track record in people management and the ability to plan and execute budgets and roadmaps. Bonus points are awarded for experience in fintech regulation, credit-risk or underwriting data, streaming/CDC, and scaling a data function through rapid growth.
