The Company is seeking an Area Chief of Staff, Veterinarian to lead, develop, and manage associate veterinarians in their hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality care that meets the company's performance measures and aligns with its six domains of quality. This role involves driving the culture of the veterinary provider team, validating clinical skill sets, and providing effective medical leadership. The Area Chief of Staff will also be involved in the recruitment of veterinary talent, overseeing the coaching program for new veterinarians, and ensuring compliance with clinical essentials and government regulations. Applicants must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree, a veterinary license in good standing, and at least 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and engaged professional with a commitment to the values and ethics of the company. Responsibilities also include managing the medical equipment inventory, championing a preventive care culture, and driving superior client service. The position is 100% hospital-based and considered a working manager role, with the expectation that the Area Chief of Staff will spend a percentage of their time in a clinical role.
